The Art of Imperfection

I didn’t always have the easiest path. Growing up, I craved security, so I did what seemed like the responsible thing: I earned both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree, paving my way into the corporate world. But the moment I got there, I knew: this wasn’t it. The hours, the structure, the predictability, it felt suffocating. So I chose uncertainty instead. I chose to create.

Art, for me, is more than aesthetics. It’s about feeling everything—the highs, the lows, the beauty in the chaos. I don’t believe in perfection; I believe in texture, in layers, in the unexpected ways things come together. My paintings are built on raw materials, fabrics, and tactile contrasts, reflecting my belief that even in life’s rough edges, there’s something extraordinary waiting to be seen.

My illustrations are deeply personal, inspired by the places I’ve traveled to. It all started on a trip to Ibiza, where I put my phone away, but instead picked up a sketchbook, and really started looking. Slowing down. Capturing moments, not just passing through them. That’s where my print series was born—from the urge to hold onto the places and emotions that shape me. Additionally, I create custom illustrations for people who want to eternalize their own special places, translating memories into art.

Alongside painting and illustration, I express my vision through photography. Just like my artwork, my photos are all about textures, contrasts, and the rawness of life. I capture the details that often go unnoticed—the way light hits a weathered surface, the imperfect symmetry of nature, the fleeting moments that tell a story without words. Photography is another way I hold onto what moves me, creating visual narratives that reflect the world as I see it: unpolished, but deeply beautiful.

Walking away from the conventional path to pursue art felt like breaking free. And I hope my work inspires others to do the same—to chase what sets their soul on fire, to embrace imperfection, and to see that even in the messiness of life, there’s always something beautiful waiting to emerge.
